Hahaa. Lab. I keep getting out at like 1 o’clock every day because there’s nothing to do. And most of the time I just kind of sit here. I don’t even know exactly what my project is. I’m supposed to grind lots of RNA and then compare them or something. I think I could be doing a lot in this free time that I have but who cares. I keep thinking about research competitions but it’s not like I’ll be winning them anyways even if I do stay in lab until 6. Meh. Living in a hotel for ISEF sounds fun but that’s hard to do.

I really want ice cream, but nobody gets out of lab so early that they can come and get ice cream with me. Maybe I’ll just tow my iPod along and go by myself. Oh and I’ll probably stop by Blockbuster to get the movie 21. It looks great. I read the book; it was probably one of the best books I’ve ever read. Actually I say that a lot. I said that about The Other Boleyn Girl, and I said that about Batman as a movie. Although my favorite book is still A Wrinkle In Time, which is suchh a children’s book! But it’s still indisputably my favorite book purely because it’s the one that always comes to my head when people ask what my favorite book is. I remember “The Goddess of the Sea” and “Confessions of Charlotte Doyle” used to be on my favorite books list. Now I don’t even remember them. I don’t even remember whether or not they were good. Sometimes I pick favorite books based on whether or not they sound impressive. I do really like Pride and Prejudice though.

I think I’m going to return all of the DVDs that I bought just because Jen Xu has Sweeney Todd and The Golden Compass. Plus I don’t want to spend too much money since I’ve spent about $700 already–in 5 weeks!! (But I do want 21–MIT MIT MIT!!)

So yeah, hmm. It’s too bad that the Amtrak train tickets are sold out because I really wanted to go to Chicago. But if Jessica comes next week we can definitely go to the zoo and Bubble Island and go exploring in boring old East Lansing. We can go to the park too if that is fun. Basically Lansing has no attractions. Dammit now I really want to go to Chicago’s nice museums and aquariums and zoos. But blah, we can walk or fly :P

I’m really hungry right now. Someone’s cooking something and it smells sooo good! I will go to lunch soon. Bye.

    i didn’t like isef, most of it was kind of pointless, but maybe that’s because i didn’t win anything =D
    they did give us plastic cellphones with mints inside though. yaaay mints
    oh and there was a nice lightshow at the beginning.
    but it was in albuquerque, which is kind of a shitty place in general

    and the subway there had stale vegetables lol
    so don’t worry; you wouldn’t be missing much. but you should submit your project anyways ’cause you’d probably get to internationals because anyone with a project that’s remotely serious gets to internationals. or maybe that’s just in florida. new jersey has a better education system so i bet it’s harder. but then again florida was like the second-most represented state there so i dunno.

    sure =D

    but if you worked on it with a professor it probably qualifies as remotely serious ;)
